Belgium has some of the best universities and university colleges in Europe and even in the world.  7 Belgian universities were ranked among the world’s 500 best universities in the recent ‘Academic Ranking of World Universities’ and 4 of them are also listed in the top-200 Times World University Ranking 2019. It is no coincidence that 10 Nobel Prize recipients come from Belgian universities: 3 for the Peace Prize, 4 for medicine, 1 for literature, 1 for chemistry and 1 for physics.
